February Sketch Challenge

We've got a fun new challenge for you all to play with this month.   If you're new to sketch challenges, the idea is that the sketch is a JUMPING OFF POINT for your inspriation and you don't have to replicate exactly (swap the circle for a star, heart, oval for example).   You can turn it landscape, turn it upside down - whatever floats your boat as long as it looks like the sketch inspired you (no back links to older projects please - the point is to get your crafting!)

 

Here's Tara's take on the sketch to give you some further inspiration using 4 different backgrounds (1 stamped, 2 patterned paper and one made with die cut scraps, topped with Lawn Fawn Pandas

We can't wait to see how you played with the sketch - whilst we'd love to see products we sell in store, you can use any products to play along as long as you use the sketch to inspire you.  You have until 11pm on 28th February to play and can play multiple times with different projects if you'd like to.

YOU DO NOT NEED A BLOG TO LINK UP YOUR ENTRY - you can link from ANYWHERE online you can post an image and get a URL - so you can use Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Flickr or any website you own.  As long as you can provide a link the linky tool will link it up.   We just cannot accept entrants by email as we cannot do the linking for you.

January Colour Challenge

Hello everyone, I've finally got enough movement back to make a simple card so I can kick off this month's challenge!  This month I've selected a colour theme and have been inspired by fashion so the colours are this season's colours for clothing but they work great for cards too! All you need to do is pick AT LEAST THREE of the colours from the graphic and use them on your card.  Neutrals/metallics are allowed in addition but we need to see the colours in the graphic have been the inspiration for you to play along. For my card I wanted to use the new fairytale book themed products just released by Waffle Flower Crafts so picked the red, teal, grey, green, mustard, brown and purple and came up with the card below.   Hope this has inspired you to play along - whilst we'd love to see products we sell in store, you can use any products to play along as long as you use the colours to inspire you.  You have until 11pm on 31st January to play and can play more than once ...

Challenge 2 - Shades of Autumn

Hello everyone, and welcome to meterological autumn (it starts today in the UK at least).  We thought a suitable challenge this month would be a colour challenge using shades of autumn as our colour palette. Tara created a colour palette of 9 colours and to enter the challenge you must use ONLY shades from this block (you can include black and white and use glitter or metallics which match the colours too - ie gold is good - silver not)   You must use AT LEAST THREE COLOURS to enter the challenge. You do not have to use autumnal themed products in your challenge makes, although you may if you choose - you can go Christmas, birthday - anything you fancy - just use 3 colours and take it where it leads you. Tara challenged herself to use as many of the colours as possible in her make to kick the challenge off.  She used the Autumn Inlay Die from Concord and 9th with a navy background and then pieced in the leaves and acorns in the other shades.  From that she doub...
